BORNEO NATURE HASH

Founded in 2020, Borneo Nature Hash, a non-profit organisation, brings people together from all walks
of life to give back to the local community and to celebrate and protect nature. We welcome hashers of all abilities to explore and enjoy the breathtaking natural landscapes of Borneo.
This year, the run will be in Bintulu - a name, which is believed to be derived from the local native phrase "Mentu Ulau," means "picking heads". Bintulu, located in the central region of Sarawak, Malaysia, transformed from a small 19th-century fishing village into a major industrial hub following the discovery of offshore natural gas in the 1960s. It is known as the centre for Sarawak's oil and gas industry, hosting major infrastructure like the Petronas LNG complex. September is also a fruit season month for Sarawak and Sarawak. Friday - 11 September 2026

Registration - 2 pm at NU Hotel pool side

4pm - board the bus for Pre Ramble Run hosted by Bintulu H3. Run Starts at 5pm

Dinner at a local restaurant
Saturday - 12 September 2026

Main Runs (long & short) at Traditional Long House in Kg. Sebauh. Run starts at 3pm, we will leave the main Hotel by bus at 1pm. Journey to the Long House will take 45-60min.

Traditional Grand Dinner & BBQ at the Long House

Free flow Beer & Tuak (Rice Wine), Red/White Wine for the Ladies

Sunday - 13 September 2026

Red Dress Hangover Run for charity at 10.30am. Run ends at the jetty, and all participants will board a boat cruise (KIV) along Kemena River to the river mouth. Finger food or BBQ will be served on board (TBC).

All money collected will be donated to Handicap Children Home of Bintulu

Borneo Nature Hash will offer an optional side trip for participants who would like to explore more of the island. This trip can be booked separately. Similajau National Park, Niah Cave, Mount Mulu, Mulu Pinnicle and Cave (Be prepared to fly to Miri, then to Mulu for this trip)
